Ceremonies In Bali
Description: 17:59:29 a parade of natives and their royalty being carried on chairs on poles on men’s’ shoulders. Many people in parade. A royal funeral ??? Many men with a network of poles on their shoulders carry a heavy ornamental tent with people inside. Three men on a bovine statue are carried by another group of men and it stops in a shallow stream and water is thrown at them. The heavy ornamental tent follows and water is thrown. All arrive in an open clearing; the bovine statue is carried around and then set on fire. 18:05:23 - 18:11:33 >>> LS pagoda style temple. MSs, CUs holy man praying and chanting, dipping stick into bottle with fluid. PAN large group of men and women sitting on ground playing musical instruments and drums, CUs man playing xylophone type, man blowing horn. Young girls, dressed in Balinese costumes, headdresses and with fans, dance in open area in front of the musicians. Good shots of them dancing and CUs. A woman dancer gets up and excellent shots of the ceremonial Balinese dancing, boys and girls group participation. A man in costume dances into the square formed by the group.
